Our story
Why we named ourselves after a harbour
A harbour is where ships come home safely after a long journey. That is what we want to be for authors. Writing a book is a voyage: exciting, a little uncertain and far easier with a steady light to steer by.
Legacy Harbor Publishing began with a simple frustration. Too many talented people were giving up on their books, or handing over their rights and most of their earnings just to see them in print. We built a different kind of publishing company, one that gives independent authors the same professional team a major publisher would, while the author keeps full ownership.
Today our writers, editors, designers and marketers work with first-time authors, business leaders, church leaders, parents writing for their children and seasoned novelists building a series. The books are different; the promise is the same.
